After analyzing the material presented to me, I am going to be 50/50 on beliving that pedagogical practices are helping students become more successful. For the lngest time, even now, a lot of the ideas that are manifested by these people and the ideas introduced in class, are not really being put to use. Kids do not understand the concept of how lucky they are to be in the situation they are in, technology and new practices for preparation of future "jobs" are not being made on an impressive scale, and teachers that are "out-of-the-loop" of technology and the new wave are not taking an initiative to learning and applying in the classroom. This right here poses a problem. I do not know much about technology and ways we can do things for students, but I am willing to learn through experience and experimentation. I am not scared to grab the torch and "visual" as Kajder says it. The fifty percent of me that is saying is because of the teachers that are being trained today. I expect to see changes just like the video about the predictions of the future. Not everything is going to be as negative as that video says. With good there comes bad and with bad there comes good. That is just the way it works.
When it comes to getting students to participate and take control of their future, there are multiple ways we can do this. I don't think i need to go into an in depth description because I ranted long enough about this in my last blog. When it comes to future jobs being at risk, all I can say is that we should do our best to prepare them to think with reason and logic and keep them "aware". Produce leaders, not followers.
