Will Richardson and David Warlick Part 2

I believe the re-ordering of the educational priorities in Warlick's books is a lot better than how the current priorities are looking. What the students are learning should be the number one priority. We are looking at the future of our nation and our own children. As Warlick says, the How and How well should be addressed after we figure out what is going to be taught. Since I have read the articles and watched Richardson's videos, I can tell that what we teach can influence our students greatly in their lives and futures. Its all about taking whatb the students already have an interest in, as well as experience(which happens to be very important because it deals with technology) and using it to our advantage as teachers in order to direct that intiative of the students. Not only is it of interest to students but technology is the future of this nation. I am going to have the most imprtant question is what will we teach? Everyone in previous classes with me has heard me go on and on before about opening new doorways and diminishing ignorance. So the "What" is definitely important. Anything that is constructive towards the growth and prosperity as a society and of course as individuals are typically good areas. As for techonology, it is a good example of "what" needs to be taught in order for that growth to occur. I would probably actually experiment with my first class to just make a discussion blog. So What will we teach is the most important because it is what directs and guides towards a more enlightened future.
